tenderproduct is a new shop showcasing the creations and wares of the most distinct emerging talent in Art and Design. tenderproduct is a stepping stone for emerging talent to showcase new products, as well as, the place in central London to find art and design books and limited-print publications. We aim to bridge the gap between maker and public by showcasing affordable design and artists’ multiples, and is dedicated to creating a platform for innovative objects shaping our contemporary visual culture.
tenderproduct recently launched its new basement space featuring a brand new collection of books, limited edition prints, original drawings and sculptures. From landscape photographs to fantastic monsters, from coloured shapes on canvas to linocut ties, you will travel into different dimensions and encounter witty and humorous content. This space encourages artists and their creativity; a space that lets visitors enjoy the creative flow, as well as some stellar books.
tenderproduct is the second tender venture by Etan Ilfeld.
Three years ago, Ilfeld founded Tenderpixel Gallery: An innovative space for emerging talent. tenderproduct maintains Tenderpixel’s ethos and supports emerging artists and designers. Additionally, while Tenderpixel operates individually, certain exhibiting artists have been invited to create limited editions available exclusively at tenderproduct. Sally Spinks’ Still Burning—an edition of 50 ashtrays filled with her intricately knit cigarettes—followed her solo-exhibition at tenderpixel, is but one of many unique tender products. Also, keep an eye out for tenderproduct’s window installations, a rotating spectacle created by tenderproduct artists and designers they represent. Through a collaborative relationship with these makers from the UK and abroad, tenderproduct brings you a thrilling immersive world of unique yet affordable anomalies.
tenderproduct is run by Stella Sideli. Stella Sideli received her BA in Communications from the University of Palermo, Italy, and is currently continuing her studies at the University of London in Arts Management. Moving to London in 2010, Sideli initially got involved with both Tenderproduct and Tenderpixel via an Arts Professionals’ mobility grant funded by the European Union. She now runs tenderproduct; curating window exhibitions and the new basement space for limited edition prints and books. Additionally, Sideli plays an active role in running Tenderpixel. Previously she has worked as a reporter in Italy for art & culture events, and on various gallery press & communication teams in Sicily. Sideli has sung as a Soprano for Lyrical and Experimental projects. She loves visual loops and the experimental intersection between sound and moving images creating non existent but distinct spaces and stories.
