Love is a British photographer destined to become known for his work that documents a world that never was. Inspired by some of London's grandest spaces, Love's large format photographs, and vibrant portraits both confuse and console the viewer with images that are visually sumptuous and unnervingly ungrounded. These images remain ambiguous, hovering somewhere between hope and hubris. Steeped in the wonder of infinite possibility they remain aware of the inevitable and painful collapse into the actual. Jacob Love was born in 1980, and studied at University of the West of England and Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he now lectures in photography.
